Scribnia: Blog Directory and Bloggging Community

I was very interested to receive the opportunity to tell my readers about Scribnia.  After I went to the site and read what it was all about, I signed up and added their widget to my blog, below on the LEFT side bar by my stats and stuff.  I really like the concept of Scribnia.

Scribnia is a place for people's opinions about bloggers, columnists, reporters, and other writers whose work is available online.   The thing I like best about Scribnia, is the fact that your stats do NOT come from links in, page views or other information from your site.   These ratings and opinions come from your readers and people like myself, who write their own publications.  I think this is a great idea.  I have been blogging for a year now, and I have often wondered, how accurate can my stats be when not each reader follows or shares the same information to other people...  I do however understand a company's point that they don't need you to publicize to people that aren't reading, however, I like to think my readers are worth giving the information to about products and such.  I don't have a million readers, but the ones I do have are great.  I like tread my email communications from everyone and the comments left on the blog posts.

Scribnia is a wonderful opportunity for my readers (Everyone's Readers) to rate my work, and give their honest opinion of the site.  I feel that the readers are very important, because without them, there is no reason to blog.   I am glad that I had the opportunity to introduce Scribnia to my readers.  I hope everyone will at least give it a try, and rate me - rel="friend".

Scribnia has also implemented a badge system.  The activities you give your opinions on will earn credit towards different themed badges.  I think it is nice to see who in the community communicates and gives their opinions, which is displayed on their profile by the badges.  I hope everyone will at least check them out and give it a try.  I sure am hooked already.
