Monster Jam 2014 - CONSOL Energy Center Pittsburgh, PA 2/14/14

We were lucky enough to attend the Monster Jam 2014 at CONSOL Energy Center last night. My daughter loves the monster trucks. However, with her snsory disorder we usually take electronic ear muffs (made for shooting) for her, and with the new baby and taking him to the sitter as well as getting everything ready for our 3 hour round trip, wouldn't you know I forgot them! Luckily, they sell ear plugs and foam ear muffs there at the merchandise stand. Even so, we still had an amazing time.










This is a great event for the whole family to spend some time together having fun. There were some amazing trucks there this year: Grave Digger®, Monster Mutt℠, Iron Man™, Zombie℠, Xtermigator, Ice Cream Man, Illuminator and Instigator! Of course my daughter's favorite is Grave Digger, my favorite is Zombie, and the boys' favorite was Iron Man. This was Iron Man's first time in Pittsburgh, and he did exceptionally well. Below are some pictures from the event.

















I really didn't get to take too many pictures because my regular camera batteries died, I did have my cell phone with me, but the thing goes dead so quick when in use for a long period of time, it's a Galaxy S3. All in all, it was a great night, with the exception that my daughter was extremely upset that Grave Digger didn't win every event (she is only 5 and he is her favorite).

I also wanted to mention how much the kids love the CONSOL Energy Center too. There are some pretty amazing sights within it.

Now, I am not going to disclose the entirety of my son's case here on my blog, but we had to use DDC labs for a Private DNA test several years ago for court. His father was not very compliant and I had our half and the court ordered his half... Now remember this was at least 5 years ago, but they were so prompt with results, less than 10 days, followed protocol for all collection and identification, etc... My fiancee and I attended the Harlem Globetrotters Game on Sunday, April 21, 2013. at the CONSOL Energy Center. I must say I had a great time! I have not seen them since I was a young elementary school kiddo. They came to our school when I was in like 4th or 5th grade and performed a bunch of tricks for us. This time I was not sure what to expect since it was an actual game, between the Globetrotters and the Select Team. It was such a great game. They intertwined a whole lot of fun, jokes, and basketball into a couple hours. I was surprised at how enjoyable the game was. There were many talented athletes there. Below there is a slide show which is definitely a little longer than usual but, super fun and great shots from the seat I had. I absolutely loved when Globie came out and cheered and ran around the court. They had an inflatable type Globie that came out and performed a small skit and did some really neat stuff. Those pictures are about halfway through the slide show. I really enjoyed the interaction with the spectators, they were having people come up on the court for different skits and activities, gave away prizes, etc...
