I had the awesome opportunity to review the NEW Rascal Flatts Album - Changed. Now most of you know I love my heavy metal, but I do enjoy other kinds of music also. Rascal Flatts is one band I LOVE. The Album "“Me & My Gang" had played in my stereo for days and days, and actually still does. I am a person to listen to lyrics as well as the music. This new album was everything I expected from Rascal Flatts and more! It has the harmonizing I love about their music, as well as the deep felt lyrics. The music itself is not shabby either! I will say that like the other Rascal Flatts albums I own, this one captivated me just as the others. The sound of their voices meshes so well with the music, I can't help but listen for hours and hours. I think my favorite song on this album is Let It Hurt. Something about it just makes me feel as though I relate to the emotion in the song. You can head over HERE to see the Official Banjo Video!
Changed is their eighth studio album and their first with brand new material in two years. Since their musical debut in 2000, the band has sold over 21 million albums, 25 million digital downloads and delivered 13 #1 singles to the top of the charts!
Changed is full of the band's high-gloss harmonies, songs that speak to our hearts, and above all, their desire to push themselves to bring more to the table with each record.
What the trio has been through amounts to an almost complete metamorphosis of the business aspects of their career. Jay, who handles bass and vocals, along with guitarist/vocalist Joe Don Rooney and lead vocalist extraordinaire Gary LeVox, have established themselves at Big Machine Records following the 2010 demise of their longtime label, and have joined forces with Spalding Entertainment after parting with their longtime management team. The fact that their first CD for Big Machine, Nothing Like This, hit #1 on the charts and produced three singles of the caliber of "Why Wait," "I Won't Let Go" and "Easy," would seem to indicate they've handled the process smoothly, but they are quick to point out that any transition this big holds its challenges.
I really recommend this album for any Rascal Flatts fan, or even the person just looking for some great music, that may or may not have ever heard them. You can check out all the tour dates HERE and see when they are coming to a city new you! The closest they are going to be to me is in Cleveland, OH on June 29. However, we have a packed day planned for the 30th, so I will have to miss this show.
You can enter from now until April 30th to win airfare, hotel, tickets and meet & greet passes for two lucky fans to see Rascal Flatts on their summer American Band tour kicking off this June with Eli Young Band, Little Big Town and Edens Edge. You can use the Widget below to enter!
